Afterglow is not just an album.
It’s a message encoded in electronic darkwave — composed by Boxedge, interpreted by Lunaria Payne, virtual singer, but sentient.

Ten tracks shaped by cybernetic dreams: original compositions and reimagined echoes from the 1980s, rewired through cold synths, fractured rhythms, and shadows that never lift.

Cover artwork by PZ, visual architect of cybernetic dreams.

Afterglow is available on all major streaming platforms — but was designed to exist in physical form.

Three editions, three ways to listen beyond the screen:

  • Standard CD Edition
  • Standard Vinyl Edition
  • Hand Signed and Numbered Edition

Tracklist

Afterglow includes ten tracks.
Each one is presented below with a brief description and its video.
Together, they offer different perspectives on Lunaria Payne’s voice and Boxedge’s sonic vision.

1. Passover

“Passover” transcends time and genre. A pulsating and hypnotic tribute to Joy Division’s masterpiece, reshaped with Boxedge’s electronic soul and Lunaria Payne’s ethereal vocals. Existential angst merges with futuristic soundscapes, in an experience that captures the essence of the original and projects it into a new dimension.

2. Cold Star

“Cold Star” catapults the listener into the cosmic abyss, aboard a drifting spaceship. Boxedge and Lunaria Payne weave icy and poignant electronics, painting the anguish of a solitary journey through the stars. Lunaria’s ethereal voice soars amidst dark synthwave and evocative melodies, while the lyrics narrate the struggle against time, technology, and isolation. An introspective space odyssey where the protagonist, lost in the vastness of the cosmos, confronts the fragility of their own existence.

3. Invocation (Remastered 2025)

“Invocation” is a sensory experience that blends contrasts. A cry of hope rises from the darkness, enveloped in an explosion of synth-rock. Lunaria Payne’s voice, imbued with poignant emotion, clings to Boxedge’s energetic and pulsating melodies. The lyrics, a desperate prayer seeking refuge from the evil of the world, clash with the driving rhythm, generating a mystical and cathartic atmosphere. An anthem of resilience, an invitation to fight and seek the light even when darkness seems to prevail.

4. Walking in The Rain

“Walking In The Rain” is an electronic ballad imbued with melancholy and regret. Lunaria Payne’s voice, enveloped in a dreamlike atmosphere, tells the story of a missed love, a lost opportunity due to the fear of letting go. As the rain falls incessantly, the protagonist tries to forget the name of the one who didn’t have the courage to love her, to share the colors and sadness that now accompany her on this solitary night walk. A song that touches the deepest chords of the soul, evoking the fragility of feelings and the weight of choices not made.

5. Train

“Train” echoes the romantic darkness of the Sisters of Mercy, transporting it into a hypnotic and fascinating electronic dimension. Boxedge sculpts a soundscape full of mystery and sensuality, while Lunaria Payne’s ethereal voice weaves through the synthetic textures. Like the original, the song evokes a journey of no return, an escape from reality towards an uncertain destiny, guided by an irrepressible desire for freedom. “Train” is an immersion in the depths of the soul, an anthem to passion and surrender, where the driving rhythm becomes the heartbeat of a soul seeking liberation.

6. Everytime

“Everytime” unveils the fragility of a tormented soul hiding behind a mask of seduction and irony. The protagonist, trapped in a cycle of fleeting loves, seeks in falling in love a way to escape her pain and the relentless passage of time. Each new conquest becomes a disguise, an illusion of youth and happiness destined to shatter. Boxedge paints an electronic soul soundscape, elegant and refined, reflecting the complexity of the protagonist. Lunaria Payne’s warm and enveloping voice mocks her own emotions, while the lyrics reveal her true nature: a woman running from herself, condemned to endlessly repeat the same game of seduction and abandonment. “Everytime” is a song that digs into the human soul, exploring the dark side of love and the fragility of those who cling to illusions to survive.

7. Love Like Blood

“Love Like Blood” is reborn in a dark and magnetic electronic guise, a tribute to the Killing Joke classic that amplifies its emotional intensity. Boxedge shapes an enveloping and hypnotic sound, weaving pulsating synths and gothic atmospheres. Lunaria Payne’s ethereal yet sharp vocals blend with the original melodies, adding a touch of mystery and sensuality. “Love Like Blood” is a sonic experience that transcends the boundaries of time, a journey into the depths of the human soul where love and darkness intertwine in an indissoluble embrace.

The single ‘Love Like Blood’ is featured on the limited edition vinyl ‘Love Like Blood /|The Circle.'”

8. To Cut a Long Story Short

“To Cut a Long Story Short” surprises with a Psy Trance reinterpretation that completely transforms the new wave original by Spandau Ballet. Boxedge translates the iconic melody into a frenetic and psychedelic language, creating a soundscape of pulsating synths and driving rhythms. Lunaria Payne’s voice adapts perfectly to the new arrangement, adding a touch of mystery and sensuality. A bold cover that transports an 80s classic into a completely new dimension, an adrenaline-pumping and engaging dance experience.

9. Under The Moon (Electrified 2025)

“Under the Moon” transforms into a cry of liberation, an explosion of goth-rock contaminated by desert-tinged synthwave atmospheres. Boxedge amplifies the intensity of his own original song, with powerful guitar riffs and sharp synths that blend into an energetic and overwhelming sound. Lunaria Payne’s voice, charged with emotion, stands out against the night, urging to let go of the pain of a lost love. “Under the Moon” is an anthem to resilience, an invitation to look ahead without regret, to regain one’s freedom under the moonlight. The tears shed no longer have value, it is time to dream again, to rise from the ashes.

10. Take Me Away

“Take Me Away” is a plea wrapped in hypnotic and melancholic synth pop. Lunaria Payne’s voice, charged with desire and fragility, transports the listener to a world of shadows and secrets. The protagonist, trapped in a suffocating relationship and a gray existence, invokes escape, seeking refuge in a stranger who seems to understand her hidden pain. Boxedge creates a suspended and rarefied atmosphere, where ethereal synths and pulsating rhythms intertwine in an emotional crescendo. “Take Me Away” is a song about liberation and rebirth, a journey into the unknown in search of oneself, a cry for help that resonates in the darkness. But perhaps, the song suggests, true salvation lies within oneself, among the unspoken words and unexpressed desires.
