BXM - Boxedge Music

BXM is an independent musical and artistic project, founded in 2024 in  Florence by Alessandro Bemporad (Boxedge – electronic music producer, senior software engineer) and Maddalena Grazzini (PZ – Visual Artist, Art Director).

It is both a record label, producing and distributing the music of Boxedge, and a 3D animation studio directed by PZ, which creates the visual universe and digital avatars of its protagonists.

All BXM works — musical and visual — the “cybernetic dreams” — are created without the use of artificial intelligence: only technology, vision, and human time.

Cyber Noir

Boxedge’s music traverses multiple genres of electronic music — darkwave, electronic blues, psy-trance, experimental ambient — unified by a cyber noir atmosphere: melancholic, introspective, cinematic.
Boxedge’s productions give form to the MANIFESTO, which represents the founding basis of the entire artistic project and the record label that gives it body.
At the center of this world lives Lunaria Payne™ — a cybernetic angel created by Boxedge in 2019. Not artificial intelligence, but expressive synthesis: a digital voice shaped note by note, visually animated by PZ in evocative and rarefied scenarios.

Cyber for the technology. Noir for the soul.

The BXM Experience

BXM is not just a record label – it’s a complete audiovisual project where every release is accompanied by original visual art and 3D animations created by PZ. Each album, each single, each video is a chapter in an evolving philosophical exploration that questions the relationship between humanity and technology, presence and absence, memory and invention.

Our music is currently available in multiple formats:

Digital: High-quality releases on Bandcamp, where sound meets art in its purest form.

Streaming: Distributed across all major platforms for those who want to discover our sonic universe.

Physical editions: Standard CDs with reinforced packaging, including a BXG sticker and a personal thank-you letter signed by Boxedge. Each CD is crafted with care from our headquarters in the Tuscan countryside near Florence.

Vinyl: Our 7″ and 12″ editions are available until stocks last.

Every order is personally packaged and shipped by Boxedge and PZ.

Boxedge Music

Boxedge

Alessandro Bemporad (Boxedge) – Founder, Electronic Music Producer, Senior Software Engineer.
Alessandro Bemporad (aka Boxedge) is an electronic music producer and senior software engineer born and raised in Florence. He graduated with honors in Theoretical Philosophy from the University of Florence.
His musical journey begins in the ’70s, with Genesis, Deep Purple, Elton John, and in general all pop, rock, and electronic music. He then traverses punk, post-punk, and new wave in the ’80s, when he is also singer and keyboardist of a band called “Boxedge”. At the end of the decade, he leaves music for a thirty-year career in technology, culminating in the role of Technical Manager at a multinational IT company.
In 2019, together with PZ, he founds Artebinaria, a company specialized in Augmented Reality applications on Apple devices in the Contemporary Art and Art History sector.
From 2016, however, he also returns to music production, increasingly pervasively. In 2019 he conceives and develops Lunaria Payne, his virtual singer: a synthesis of programming, sound design, and artistic vision.
In 2024 he co-founds Boxedge Music with PZ, where he combines technological expertise, philosophical sensitivity, and passion for electronic music.
