Boxedge Music (BXM) is an independent music label that creates and produces its own virtual artists, the Cybernetic Angels—Lunaria Payne and Serena Void.
These digital performers are the embodiment of Cybernetic Dreams. Existing as pure sound and vision, they blur the boundaries of time, where the past dreams of the future, and the future echoes the past.
BXM is more than a record label—it is a vision, a world suspended between past and future. Every release is a sonic artifact, a fusion of sound and art designed to transcend time.
BXM produces and curates two distinct genres, both rooted in the paradox of time:
- Cyber Noir (Lunaria Payne) – A soundscape where darkwave, synth-pop, and cyberpunk merge, evoking a past that dreams of the future.
- Cyber Reggae (Serena Void) – A deep fusion of electronic reggae, dub, and synthetic atmospheres, a future longing for the past.

The founders
The minds behind Boxedge Music
Boxedge
Alessandro Bemporad (Boxedge) – Founder, Music Producer, Senior Software Engineer, with a degree in theoretical philosophy
Alessandro Bemporad (aka Boxedge) is an electronic music producer and senior software engineer born and raised in Florence, Italy, with a profound passion for music and technology. His musical journey began at a young age in the early 1970s, inspired by legends like Genesis, Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Deep Purple, and Led Zeppelin. In the 1980s, he immersed himself in the punk, post-punk, new wave, and electronic music scenes. During this period, he was the singer, keyboardist, and songwriter for a band called “Boxedge,” from which he later took the name for his current artistic project.
Toward the end of the 1980s, Boxedge left his musical career to fully dedicate himself to technology, embarking on a remarkable 30-year career that saw him rise from software developer to software engineer, project manager, and ultimately Technical Manager at a multinational IT company. Graduating with honors in Theoretical Philosophy from the University of Florence, he has always combined critical thinking, innovation, and creativity in his professional path.
In 2019, he founded Artebinaria, a company specializing in augmented reality software development for contemporary art and art history, leveraging Apple technologies. This venture further strengthened his connection between art and technology.
However, by 2016, his passion for music had reawakened, driving him to return to music production with renewed fervor. After a few years as a producer for female vocalists in the synth-pop and electronic crossover genres, Boxedge envisioned and developed his own virtual singers, Lunaria Payne, and Serena Void whom he calls his “cybernetic angels”. They are much more than digital creations: they are the vocal and visual expression of his music, a perfect synthesis of art and technology, brought to life through his programming and 3D animations crafted by PZ.
In 2024, Boxedge co-founded Boxedge Music with PZ, dedicating himself fully to his work as a music producer and software engineer. Through Boxedge Music, he merges his extensive technological expertise, philosophical insight, and love for electronic sounds. His productions span darkwave, synth-pop, and cyberpunk, featuring original compositions and innovative reinterpretations of iconic musical masterpieces.
PZ
Maddalena Grazzini (PZ) – Co-Founder, 2D&3D visual artist with a degree in art history
Maddalena Grazzini (aka PZ) is a Visual A rtist who graduated with honors in Art History from the University of Florence. Her professional journey has been rich and diverse, including roles such as Software Analyst, Knowledge Modeler, Visual Designer, Art Curator, and Art Director. Since 2018, she has been a member of the International Selection Committee of the Florence Biennale, and from 2019 to 2024, she curated the augmented reality contemporary art galleries of Artebinaria, in addition to creating editorial content for the art history apps of the same company. In collaboration with Boxedge, she has designed immersive video-mapping performances and curated augmented reality art exhibitions, exploring the fusion of technology and artistic creativity.
In 2024, she co-founded Boxedge Music with Boxedge, where she serves as Art Director. Within Boxedge Music, she is responsible for 2D/3D graphics, the 3D animations, and the creation of visual artworks that enrich and enhance each musical production of the label. Deeply convinced of the profound symbiosis between Art, Music, and Technology, PZ continues to move seamlessly between various expressive languages, from traditional painting to cutting-edge digital graphics, contributing to the artistic identity of Boxedge Music.

- We believe in tangible music. Streaming is ephemeral. Our vinyl and CD releases are designed as collector’s items, enriched with booklets, posters, and exclusive artwork. Every BXM release is more than just music—it’s a crafted artifact, a collector’s piece designed to transcend the digital age.
- We create artifacts, not just albums. Every release is an immersive experience, carefully crafted to exist beyond time.
- Our music is a portal. Each record is a gateway to a Cybernetic Dream, an echo of something that never was, but feels like it should have been.
- Limited Editions: Our albums are released in carefully crafted limited runs, making them unique artifacts for collectors and enthusiasts.
- Exclusive Content: Our physical editions include bonus tracks and exclusive material not available on streaming platforms.
- New Release Strategy: Songs will be released individually on streaming platforms over time. Once a collection is complete, the full album will be available only as a limited-edition Vinyl and CD release, featuring additional tracks not available digitally.
