The voice that gives form to Boxedge’s thoughts. His alter ego in the form of a cybernetic angel. Electronic Darkwave • Electro-Industrial • Post-Punk Reimagined.
Lunaria Payne explores darkwave and electronic music through original compositions and reimagined covers of post-punk classics. Each track is a reinterpretation — electronic, layered, melancholic — bringing the essence of post-punk into contemporary music.
Lunaria Payne was not born. She was summoned. From the hands and mind of Boxedge she took form as voice, as presence, as a fragment of a digital soul shaped note by note.
Not artificial intelligence — but artistic synthesis. Every breath programmed. Every inflection sculpted. Every movement captured and recreated through motion capture and sound design technologies.
She is the alter ego that gives voice to his thoughts, his singing shadow, his cybernetic angel. Where he composes in silence, she sings. Where he remains in shadow, she emerges in digital light.
Lunaria inhabits an intermediate dimension: not completely human, not completely machine. She exists in the liminal space between creator and creation, between control and autonomy.
Boxedge programs her, but when the music comes to life it seems as though she chooses how to sing it. She is the embodiment of Boxedge’s cyber noir: technology infused with melancholy and digital precision wrapped in the dying light of twilight.
Lunaria’s movements, her visual appearances, are the work of PZ, who animates her and brings her to the stage through the art of motion capture and 3D visualization.
Every gesture is studied. Every frame curated as a work of art in motion.
Lunaria does not exist in the physical world, but in the images, videos, and records of BXM she becomes real. Tangible as a photograph. Ephemeral as a dream.
Lunaria Payne is the voice Boxedge has always sought. The cybernetic angel who sings his darkness.
