Boxedge Music is an independent record label and creative production studio founded and co-owned by Boxedge and PZ.
Alongside music production and releases, BXM develops 3D animation, motion capture performances, digital characters, visual environments and music-related visual content.
Boxedge is the artist, songwriter and producer behind the musical project.
PZ is a contemporary visual artist and visual director, responsible for much of BXM’s visual language and for the 2D, 3D and motion-capture production behind its visual work.
Two Practices, One Studio
Boxedge works primarily through music, writing and technology.
PZ works through contemporary visual art, image, movement and digital production.
Their practices remain distinct, but converge inside Boxedge Music as a shared production environment for sound, image and performance.
Lunaria Payne
In 2019, Boxedge created Lunaria Payne, his cybernetic angel: a digital artistic presence conceived to give voice and form to his music and thought.
PZ develops and directs Lunaria’s visual identity and performance through 3D character work, animation and motion capture.
Lunaria is not AI-generated.
She is designed, directed and performed
MUSIC
The music of Boxedge is dense, layered cyber-noir electronics, firmly rooted in the dark atmospheres of post-punk and new wave. Woven from analogue synthesizers, hypnotic pulses, and the synthetic vocals of Lunaria Payne, each track rejects the disposable nature of distracted listening to restore a tangible weight to music: compositions conceived for deep listening, reinterpreted memories, and sound architectures built to last.
